About 30 CEYC representatives and invited observers from across the country gathered in Wakefield yesterday for a day meeting of the Council. The two main items on the programme were a debate on the environment (an amended motion was passed, which will be available on here shortly) and a discussion on social issues including drugs, ASBOs, poverty and more.

The Core Group had decided to restructure the action groups to create a more sustainable process, and yesterday was the first meeting of the new Church Issues, Community Issues and World Issues permanent action groups. To reflect this, the forums have been updated to provide a discussion area for each action group.
